Amber came to Reno Connections during the early stages of her recovery journey—bringing with her a strong determination to rebuild, grow, and find stability for herself and her family. From the very beginning, she showed a commitment to change and a willingness to engage fully in the supports available to her.

Through connection, consistency, and community support, that initial “spark” has grown into sustained progress and lasting transformation.

Since engaging with Reno Connections services, Amber has achieved meaningful milestones that reflect both resilience and persistence:

Regained custody of both of her children
Sustained employment as a CNA at a local nursing home
Actively engaged in recovery support services available in Reno County
Strengthened and maintained a healthy family relationship
Transitioned from low-income housing into a new home in desired neighborhood
Recently celebrated a full year of recovery

Amber continues to stay actively involved in supportive services, including Healthy Families, as she strengthens her foundation for long-term stability and wellness.

In addition to her continued progress, she is also preparing to welcome a baby boy in October—an exciting new chapter for her growing family.

Amber’s journey reflects what is possible when determination meets the right support systems. Her progress is a reminder of the power of peer support, resource navigation, and community collaboration in helping families rebuild and thrive.
